CORE, the largest integrated commercial real estate firm in Northern New England, is pleased to announce the hiring of Stephanie Albert as the firm’s first General Counsel.
Working across CORE’s real estate investment, management, and brokerage divisions, Stephanie will help streamline procurement and contracting processes, enhance compliance practices, and support both internal teams and third-party clients. She will also lead the development of company-wide policies, standard operating procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and support CORE’s next phase of growth.
“Stephanie’s arrival marks a key milestone in CORE’s evolution,” said Josh Soley, President and CEO of CORE. “As we expand our management services and investment platforms, her deep experience across real estate and organizational leadership will help build an even stronger foundation for the future. Stephanie brings both the expertise and the collaborative mindset that define CORE’s approach to business.”

With more than 15 years of experience practicing law in Maine, Stephanie brings extensive expertise across real estate, small business representation, and corporate operations. Before joining CORE, Stephanie served as Vice President of Legal Affairs at Preservation Management, Inc., a national affordable housing and property management company operating in 17 states. In that role, she managed all legal functions, oversaw litigation and corporate compliance, and directed HR and insurance operations.
“From my first conversations with Josh and the team, I could see that CORE is building something extraordinary,” said Stephanie Albert, General Counsel. “I was also interested in the prospect of getting back into the commercial real estate world and joining a company that is growing and innovating. CORE’s expansion is fueled by a spirit of collaboration and possibility—and my goal is to help strengthen the framework that supports that growth.”
Stephanie’s appointment comes as CORE continues to build momentum following the launch of CORE’s Acquisitions Division—which targets acquisition deals across the Eastern Seaboard and shares unique capital opportunities. 2025 has been a year marked by significant acquisitions and team growth at CORE. The addition of in-house legal leadership reinforces the firm’s focus on long-term value creation.
Stephanie grew up in Winthrop, ME, and earned her undergraduate degree from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law and currently lives in Portland with her family.
